I forgot all about RA #3425, and I feel it's about time for another installment of The Rite-Up. Like many Rite Aid stores from the Customer World wave, this was a relocation. Hamburg's original Rite Aid opened in the mid-1990s and was in a strip center behind the current store, co-anchoring with a Redner's supermarket. It later relocated to its current location in 2006. RITE AID #4260 Opened:  1996 Address:   4299 Union Deposit Rd Photographed:  November 2021 For our first and only stop in Harrisburg this time around, we have another installment of The Rite-Up.  This store was built in 1996 (I think), as an addition to the existing shopping center. In 2011, this store was the first of the chain's stores to feature the new Wellness decor package. In 2020/21, this store received the latest exterior remodel. There were two additional exterior designs this store used between 2011 and 2020, which can be found  here .

RITE AID #476 Opened:  1978? Address:   3463 Sweet Air Rd Photographed:  October 2021 After our brief intermission from drugstores last week to take a peek at two Tom's stores, but this week, we're back in Maryland for one more drugstore -- Former Rite Aid #476 (Now a Walgreens). Rite Aid #476 was one of over 1,100 Rite Aid stores to be converted to Walgreens in summer 2019. I can't seem to find out when Rite Aid first opened (1978, perhaps, with the neighboring Safeway?), although I can confirm that Walgreens #19043 opened here in August, 2019.  Rite Aid #476 during the remodel to Walgreens (Google Maps Streetview) (Google Maps Streetview)

RITE AID #11148 Opened:  2007 Address:   120 S. Mill Rd Photographed:  September 2021 RITE AID #3602 Opened:  1998 Address:   5675 York Rd Photographed:  September 2021 Welcome to Kennett Square! Rite Aid #11148 started out in 2001 as Eckerd #6279 (which was originally located at 345 Scarlett Rd and relocated here in 2001). RITE AID #246 Opened:  2001 Address:   337 W. Chocolate Ave Photographed:  August 2021 Welcome back to The Rite-Up! Today, we make a brief return to the Hershey/Hummelstown area of Dauphin County. After this, we're headed back to Lancaster, then on to Kennett Square. Rite Aid #246, one of approximately 20 with Keystone Drug roots, opened in 1976 at 271 W. Chocolate Ave, upon Rite Aid acquiring Keystone. In 2001, however, Rite Aid would relocate to its current location at 337 W. Chocolate Ave, building a newer, larger, and more modern store. Likely due to its proximity to Rite Aid's corporate headquarters in Camp Hill (planned to relocate to Philadelphia in 2022), this store's exterior is quite deluxe, and does not match (or even resemble) any of the company's other stores from the era. RITE AID #3611 Opened:  1988 Address:   455 N. Enola Rd Photographed:  August 2021 Our second and final stop in Enola (well, all of Cumberland County for that matter) is Rite Aid #3611. Next, we're headed to Dauphin for yet another Rite Aid. Let's go!  A former Drug Fair, this store has similar roots (and a similar store number) to #3610 in Columbia, which we featured back in January 2021. Drug Fair opened in the 1970s, and by 1988, like most of the chain's other stores, had been converted to Rite Aid. As is the case with almost all Rite Aid stores at this point, this store received the Rx Evolution (also known as gray) prototype exterior in 2020. RITE AID #11193 Opened:  2007 Address:   18898 Rehoboth Mall Blvd Photographed:  July 2021 Before leaving Rehoboth Beach (well, all of Delaware actually), we've got one more drugstore to take a peek at -- Rite Aid #11193. Like many Rite Aid stores, this one started out as an Eckerd. Eckerd #6291 originally opened in the now-demolished Ames Plaza (approx address is 199 Ames Drive). That store became a Thrift Drug in 1982 before reverting to Eckerd in 1997. Eckerd then relocated to 18898 Rehoboth Mall Blvd, opening on March 18, 2001. It became Rite Aid #11193 in 2007. RITE AID #365 Opened:  2008 Address:   728 E. Pulaski Hwy Photographed:  July 2021 As stated last Friday, this week's posts include another installment of The Rite-Up. This store is located in Elkton, Maryland, and is the chain's lone Cecil County store.  Rite Aid #365 started out in the 1970s as a Read's at 103 Big Elk Mall, converting to a Rite Aid in 1977. For our second holiday post of the season, here's another store you may recognize from a previous installment, Rite Aid #3620. I'll also link the original post here in case you're interested.  https://retailforever.blogspot.com/2021/01/quick-look-rite-aid-3620-lancaster-pa.html This store has two seasonal aisles, each running parallel to the other. At the time of my visit, only one was in use for the Christmas merchandise, and the other was being used for excess Halloween merchandise, which was being sold at 90% off, as well as some other miscellaneous merchandise. From this angle, the photo shows the Christmas aisle leading to the store's west side (upon entering, at least) There wasn't too much here, so I hope they'll be getting some more. RITE AID #11189 Opened:  2007 Closed: 2019 Address:   245 N. DuPont Hwy Photographed:  July 2021 Rite Aid #11189 started out as an Eckerd at 15 S. DuPont Hwy in 1982. It was later sold to Thrift Drug and returned to Eckerd again starting in 1997. In 2000, Eckerd built a new store at 245 N. DuPont Hwy, replacing the older store. Rite Aid eventually wound up with this store in 2007, upon buying the Eckerd chain, although it ultimately closed in 2019, likely due to competition with CVS #1911 (0.6 miles away at 11 N. DuPont Hwy) and Walgreens #11036 (0.4 miles away at 261 N. Rite Aid #729 was remodeled at some point between February and now (although, I'd probably lean towards more recently). There's still some scarring from the old signage and the older window decals remain, leading me to believe that the remodel was very recent.

RITE AID #4684 Opened:  1997 Address:   825 E. Chestnut St Photographed:  July 2021 Rite Aid #4684, located at 825 E. Chestnut Street in Lancaster, Pennsylvania opened its doors on July 7, 1997, as the chain's second store in downtown Lancaster. The exterior was repainted from blue to brown in 2013, and again to gray in 2020/2021.
