For those of you who would like to read our previous post, here is the link to access it.  https://retailforever.blogspot.com/2021/01/tour-bed-bath-beyond-1331-lancaster-pa.html The first aisle of the seasonal department contains several leftover Fall and Halloween items. The second seasonal aisle, facing the customer service desk The last aisle of the seasonal section, to the far right of the department upon entering. Image
CVS #10375 Opened:  2014 Address:   674 Middletown Odessa Rd Photographed:  July 2021 Before leaving Middletown and heading down to Rehoboth Beach, we have one more drugstore to take a look at. Middletown's CVS is quite typical, so I won't be spending too much time talking about it. The only information that I could really find is that it opened on October 25, 2014.  October 2014 Google Maps Streetview - Just a few days before opening

Image
WALGREENS #11055 Opened:  2006 Address:   4465 Summit Bridge Rd Photographed:  July 2021 Continuing our Happy Harry's-Walgreens series, we find ourselves back in Middletown, looking at another one of five Walgreens stores in the city. This one opened on August 8, 2001, and was referred to by Happy Harry's as the "Shops of Mt. Pleasant" store. With all the chain's other stores, it was sold to Walgreens in 2006 and was rebranded to the Walgreens name in 2011, with all the other Delawarean stores.   My photo of Walgreens #11055, which is conveniently also a photo of the rest of the shopping center. Rite Aid eventually wound up with this store in 2007, upon buying the Eckerd chain, although it ultimately closed in 2019, likely due to competition with CVS #1911 (0.6 miles away at 11 N. Update: Rite Aid #729 - Lancaster, PA (October 2021 Remodel Update) | The Rite-Up

Image
Rite Aid #729 was remodeled at some point between February and now (although, I'd probably lean towards more recently). For some pre-remodel photos and history, please head over to our previous post at  https://retailforever.blogspot.com/2021/02/glimpse-rite-aid-729-lancaster-pa.html . There's still some scarring from the old signage and the older window decals remain, leading me to believe that the remodel was very recent.
