WEIS #98 Opened:  Mid 1970s Address:   1786 Columbia Ave Photographed:  September 2021 I'm not really sure how to start this post off, so let's get started... Weis #98, a mid-1970s model store, opened (obviously) in the mid-1970s. Like many other stores, #98's exterior was remodeled in the early 1990s, adding a mirrored facade and white pillars (I'm not particularly fond of this model). GIANT #6566 Opened:  2019 Address:   3985 Columbia Ave Photographed:  June 2021 Giant #6566 originally opened in 1992 as a Fox's Market , although just a few years later, in 1995, it was rebranded to a Redner's Warehouse Market . On January 2, 2009, the store was purchased by another local chain, Musser's Markets. It was remodeled yet again, holding a grand reopening on February 21, 2009. However, when Giant purchased the three-store Musser's chain in 2019, it was rebranded and remodeled yet again, reopening as a Giant Food Store on November 8, 2019. For some history and pre-remodel photos, check out our previous post on Rite Aid #3610 at  https://retailforever.blogspot.com/2021/01/glimpse-rite-aid-3610-columbia-pa.html At some point in the past year, Columbia's Rite Aid received the latest exterior remodel, removing the red "RITE AID" signage that had probably been there since it opened in 1988. I can confirm, though, that the "rainbow stripes" decor package is still in use.  The following photos were taken on September 17.

Rite Aid #3610, located at 1786-I Columbia Avenue in Columbia, Pennsylvania opened in 1988 in a space formerly occupied by Drug Fair. This Rite Aid received the prescriptions from the Kmart down the street, which closed in August 2020. To the best of my knowledge, it still features the red exterior logo (well, it did in August 2020. I'm not sure if it's still there.) and the " Rainbow " decor package on the interior.
