It was later sold to Thrift Drug and returned to Eckerd again starting in 1997. In 2000, Eckerd built a new store at 245 N. DuPont Hwy, replacing the older store. Rite Aid eventually wound up with this store in 2007, upon buying the Eckerd chain, although it ultimately closed in 2019, likely due to competition with CVS #1911 (0.6 miles away at 11 N. DuPont Hwy) and Walgreens #11036 (0.4 miles away at 261 N. DuPont Hwy).
