GIANT #100 Opened:  1989 Address:  11399 York Rd Photographed:  October 2021 Welcome back! For our second and final Marylandian supermarket post from this trip, we are at Giant #100 in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Giant #100, originally numbered as store #200 (the store numbers were changed after the Stop & Shop merger), opened in 1989 as the second of two Cockeysville stores for the chain (the other has since closed).

GIANT #349 Opened:  2007 Address:   3530 Sugarloaf Pkwy Photographed:  September 2021 Welcome to our second and final grocery store post from the Frederick area. Up next, we're headed back up to Lancaster for Weis #138. Giant #349, a 56,657 sq. ft. supermarket at the Villages at Urbana shopping center in Frederick (to be more specific, Urbana) opened on March 2, 2007, under the chain's Super Giant banner. When the Super Giant concept was phased out in 2010, this store was rebranded as a regular Giant.

GIANT #387 Opened:  1999 Address:   19312 Lighthouse Plaza Photographed:  July 2021 Giant Food of Maryland, LLC opened its 55,797 sq. ft. Super G store in Rehoboth Beach on March 20, 1999. When the Super G name was phased out in 2005, this store (along with all others in Delaware) received new signage, the current Giant logo of the time. However, when the logo changed in 2008, it was remodeled yet again, giving it the look that can be found today. Welcome back to Retail Forever, where today we have the third and final post about a Giant-Landover supermarket in the Silver Spring, Maryland area. This specific location is located at 13490 New Hampshire Avenue, and it opened in 1978. Located just 8 minutes away from the Giant in White Oak, which we had a post about a few weeks ago, this supermarket not only has competition from chains such as Aldi and Safeway but from other Giant locations. Giant #301, located at 13781 Connecticut Avenue opened on November 1, 2007, with the old logo. In the early 2010s, the logo was updated (like at most other Giant stores). Giant opened its 45,000 sq. foot New Hampshire Avenue supermarket between 1957 and 1963 under the chain's Super Giant banner. When the Super Giant banner was discontinued, the exterior logo was updated. The logo was updated again in the early 2010s to the current Giant-Landover logo.
