GROCERY OUTLET #705 Opened:  2015 Address:   703 Lancaster Rd Photographed:  June 2021 Grocery Outlet #705, located at 703 Lancaster Road in Manheim, Pennsylvania began its life, like all the other Grocery Outlets in the area, as an Amelia's Grocery Outlet. Opening in 1995, this was the fifth Amelia's to open. As stated above, it was converted to a Grocery Outlet Bargain Market in 2015 with all the other stores (except the location on Lincoln Highway , which was rebranded a year prior.) Like many of the other Lancaster-area Grocery Outlet locations, this was formerly an Amelia's. The original location, at 1941 Lincoln Highway East (now Benjamin Moore Paints) was built and opened around 1992(?). It relocated in 2002 to its current location, at 1951 Lincoln Hwy East, and in 2011, with the rest of the Amelia's locations, it was sold to Grocery Outlet Bargain Market. It was rebranded in 2014. The original store, as it appears today (Google Maps Streetview) Thanks to a 2001 archive of the Amelia's website, we can see the original location. Additionally, from a 2002 archive of the Amelia's website, we can also see some snapshots of the new store as Amelia's Grocery Outlet. Grocery Outlet Bargain Market #724, located at 1500 N. George Street in York, Pennsylvania opened on August 4, 2016, as one of the only Grocery Outlet stores in Pennsylvania that was not formerly an Amelia's Grocery Outlet. This location was formerly Weis #27, which opened in 1960, and closed in March 2016, five months before it reopened as a Grocery Outlet.  The store as a Weis (Google Maps streetview) The following photos are by Coolcat4333 on Flickr. The Rohrerstown Grocery Outlet store opened in the Mid-1990s as an Amelia's Grocery Outlet. In 2010, the building was demolished and rebuilt (Likely due to the new CVS opening). In 2011, Grocery Outlet Bargain Market acquired Amelia's, but the store (along with all but the East Lancaster location, which was rebranded a year prior) remained branded as Amelia's until 2015.
