Chestnut Street in Lancaster, Pennsylvania opened its doors on July 7, 1997, as the chain's second store in downtown Lancaster. The exterior was repainted from blue to brown in 2013, and again to gray in 2020/2021. ALDI #2524 Opened:  2018 Address:   4702 Jonestown Rd Photographed:  June 2021 Aldi #2524, located at 4702 Jonestown Rd in Colonial Park, Pennsylvania opened in 2018, taking the space of a former self-storage facility.  Ummm, was I supposed to write more? CVS #1662 Opened:   Around 2007 Address:   1624 Lincoln Hwy Photographed:  July 2021 CVS #1662, located at 1624 Lincoln Highway in Lancaster, Pennsylvania originally opened as a Rea & Derick on August 1, 1967, at 1643 Lincoln Highway. It became a CVS in 1991, and it closed around 2007 when it moved to its current location, which originally was built as a Weis (which relocated around 1980), and Revco (which opened in 1995 and closed in 1997). For some history and pre-remodel photos, check out our previous post on Rite Aid #3610 at  https://retailforever.blogspot.com/2021/01/glimpse-rite-aid-3610-columbia-pa.html At some point in the past year, Columbia's Rite Aid received the latest exterior remodel, removing the red "RITE AID" signage that had probably been there since it opened in 1988. I can confirm, though, that the "rainbow stripes" decor package is still in use.  The following photos were taken on September 17.
