Tour: OfficeMax #6517 - Lancaster, PA

Image
OfficeMax #6517, located at 1700 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, Pennsylvania opened in 1998 with the rest of the Red Rose Commons shopping center. Its exterior was remodeled around 2010 and it is the lone OfficeMax store in Lancaster County. This is my only quality photo of this store. There are some additional ones below, but they're extremely blurry. The breakroom supplies aisle, including paper towels, facial tissues, air fresheners, and other things like that. The storage aisle, with mostly plastic bins. The road sign from back before the remodel. (lancasteronline.com) The store itself before the remodel. The History of Red Rose Commons - Lancaster, PA

Red Rose Commons, The third-largest shopping plaza in Lancaster County originally opened in 1998 with the stores Hollywood Video, PetSmart, Barnes & Noble, Old Country Buffet, Pepboys Auto, Weis Markets, OfficeMax, Party City, Linens N Things, The Home Depot, Sports Authority, Old Navy, and Circuit City. The center followed the below layout. A 2009 photo from Loopnet, showing Party City with the old signage, OfficeMax with the old signage, Linens N Things, and more. Lancaster's lone Home Depot, which is located at Red Rose Commons. Lancaster's HomeGoods, also at Red Rose Commons Everything remained the same until around 2008 when Linens N Things closed. A year later, in 2009, Circuit City closed. Hollywood Video closed in 2010 and became Verizon. OfficeMax's exterior was remodeled around that time as well. In April 2010, Pennsylvania's first H. H. Gregg opened in the former Circuit City space. In May 2011, HomeGoods opened in the Linens N Things space, leaving this ...

Glimpse: HomeGoods #502 - Lancaster, PA (former Linens N Things)

Image
HomeGoods #502, located at 1700 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, Pennsylvania originally opened in 1998 with the center as Linens N Things. LNT closed in December 2008 and sat vacant until HomeGoods opened in May 2011 as the chain's first (and only) Lancaster County location (their sister stores, Marshalls and TJMaxx both operated, and continue to operate stores in the county at the time).  Linens N Things, as it appeared vacant in 2009. (photo from LNP | LancasterOnline) HomeGoods as it appears today. This has got to be one of the best quality photos I've captured in a long time. Quick Information: Opened: 1998 / 2011 Address: 1700 Fruitville Pike Photographed: March 2021

Glimpse: Weis #77 - Manheim, PA

Image
Weis #77, located at 75 Doe Run Road opened around 2000 as a relocation of a store across the center (at 129 Doe Run Road), which opened in the 1970s, and is now Longenecker's True Value Hardware. This store features two décor packages at the current time. I personally think this store looks amazing on the exterior (but like most other Weis stores on the inside). My one, terrible quality photo of this location. Quick Information: Opened:  Around 2000 Address:  75 Doe Run Road Photographed:  January 2021
