Our supermarket series has finally made it to York (well, actually, it did
back in July...). But this time we've got three (this one included) new stores
to take a look at over the next two weeks.
Price Rite of York, a 29,000 sq. ft. no-frills supermarket, located (surprise,
surprise) in York, opened on July 1, 2003, in a space formerly occupied by
Phar-Mor, which closed in 2002 with the rest of the chain. In 2018 or 2019,
this store was remodeled to the PriceRite Marketplace format.
