ALDI #1907 Opened:  2014 Address:   905 Loucks Rd Photographed:  August 2021 Continuing through York, our next stop is Aldi #1907 on Loucks Rd. Let's get started! Aldi #1907, one of the chain's two stores in York and one of three across York County, opened on June 26, 2014, making it the third to open in the county.

WALGREENS #15130 Opened:  2014 Address:   10410 York Rd Photographed:  October 2021 Continuing through Maryland, before heading back up to Pennsylvania, we've got two more stores to take a look at -- this one, and the Rite Aid-turned-Walgreens in Phoenix. Construction started on Walgreens #15130 in 2013, on a space formerly occupied by an Exxon gas station and convenience store. SAVE-A-LOT #60064 Opened:  2007 Address:   1045 Mount Rose Ave Photographed:  August 2021 Continuing through York, our next stop is Save-A-Lot #60064. After this, we're headed up to North York for one more supermarket. Before the opening of Save-A-Lot's original York store, Downtown York had been without a supermarket since Kash & Karry closed in 1986. York's first Save-A-Lot opened in January 1995 at 131-139 N Duke St, in a space left behind by A&P in 1982. On November 15, 2007, the store relocated to 1045 Mt Rose Ave, in a former Giant Food Store, which opened in the 1960s/1970s and closed in 1994. However, this was out of city limits and Downtown York was without a supermarket again... until 2011 when C-Town opened in the former Kash & Karry/Save-A-Lot on North Duke St. Original Save-A-Lot of York, now C-Town (Photo by joshaustin610 on Flickr)

CVS #1842 Opened:  1993 Address:   1275 Pennsylvania Ave Photographed:  October 2021 Before heading up to Maryland, we have one more drugstore in DC to take a look at -- CVS #1842. CVS #1842, a two-floor store, located just one mile from the Washington Monument and the White House, opened on January 20, 1993, with a much bolder design than it has today. In 2014, the building (including CVS) was remodeled a bit, and the exterior changed, becoming more subtle. As of October 2021, there is no exterior sign with lights, so even though it's open until 10pm (as of 10/26/21), you probably wouldn't see it at that hour unless you knew what you were looking for... PRICE RITE OF YORK Opened:  2003 Address:   2142 S. Queen St Photographed:  August 2021 Our supermarket series has finally made it to York (well, actually, it did back in July...). But this time we've got three (this one included) new stores to take a look at over the next two weeks. Price Rite of York, a 29,000 sq. ft. no-frills supermarket, located (surprise, surprise) in York, opened on July 1, 2003, in a space formerly occupied by Phar-Mor, which closed in 2002 with the rest of the chain. In 2018 or 2019, this store was remodeled to the PriceRite Marketplace format. WALGREENS #15953 Opened:  Mid 2010s Address:   1155 F St NW Photographed:  October 2021 For our next stop in Washington, DC, we have another Walgreens, this one located at the intersection of 12th and F streets. After this, we've got one more drugstore in the District of Columbia before moving on to Maryland, and eventually, Pennsylvania. Walgreens #15953, another store with multiple levels (although I'm unsure of exactly how many) opened at some point between June 2014 and July 2015, in a space formerly housing a Guess store. 

ALDI #2680 Opened:  2019 Address:   10 N. DuPont Hwy Photographed:  July 2021 To wrap up this blog's Delawarean posts for the season, we find ourselves at Aldi #2680 in Dover. After this, back to Pennsylvania. The chain's fifth store in Delaware, Aldi of Dover (10 N. DuPont Hwy) opened held its grand opening on June 13, 2019. Similar to last week's Lidl, information on this store is pretty sparse and now I'll be wrapping up. 

CVS #10415 Opened:   Address:   804 Maine Ave SW Photographed:  October 2021 For our second stop in the District of Columbia, we have this CVS in the Wharf shopping district.
