Glimpse: Toys "R" Us #8326 - Lancaster, PA
When I photographed this store on April 17, 2021, there were not really any signs of demolition to come. Yes, I knew it was going to happen at some point as PennState Health had bought the land to build a new outpatient center, but not this soon... Anyway, here's an image I saw on May 3...

Not exactly sure where this image is from, but it sure is the Lancaster location... |
Anyway, now I'll show you my photos of the store from April 17.

The road sign. Still up at the time of my April 17 visit, but as of May 9, the part reading "Toys "R" Us" is gone. |

The storefront. This is a typical "Concept 2000" prototype. |
And I'll end this post with some aerial photos from Google and Historic Aerials.

Pretty crazy just to see the top of the facade remaining in the demolition pic.
ReplyDeleteYeah. It makes me wonder who took the photo, as they probably had a fence up during the demolition...
