This is terrible news. The Sears in Boyle Heights, California is one of the most popular areas in the Latinx/Chicana/o/Hispanic community for decades, and the building is historic. I hope the historic building will be preserved, and house a new retail tenant(s) that will care about the needs of this important demographic.
