Glimpse: HomeGoods #502 - Lancaster, PA (former Linens N Things)

Image
HomeGoods #502, located at 1700 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, Pennsylvania originally opened in 1998 with the center as Linens N Things. LNT closed in December 2008 and sat vacant until HomeGoods opened in May 2011 as the chain's first (and only) Lancaster County location (their sister stores, Marshalls and TJMaxx both operated, and continue to operate stores in the county at the time).  Linens N Things, as it appeared vacant in 2009. (photo from LNP | LancasterOnline) HomeGoods as it appears today. This has got to be one of the best quality photos I've captured in a long time. Quick Information: Opened: 1998 / 2011 Address: 1700 Fruitville Pike Photographed: March 2021

Glimpse: Weis #77 - Manheim, PA

Image
Weis #77, located at 75 Doe Run Road opened around 2000 as a relocation of a store across the center (at 129 Doe Run Road), which opened in the 1970s, and is now Longenecker's True Value Hardware. This store features two décor packages at the current time. I personally think this store looks amazing on the exterior (but like most other Weis stores on the inside). My one, terrible quality photo of this location. Quick Information: Opened:  Around 2000 Address:  75 Doe Run Road Photographed:  January 2021

Glimpse: Darrenkamp's - Mount Joy, PA

Image
Darrenkamps' Mount Joy location, at 945 E Main Street in  Mount Joy, Pennsylvania opened in 1998 as the first traditional Darrenkamp's supermarket. When Giant purchased the chain in 2018, this location was closed (The Willow Street store was the only location to be converted to Giant, Giant operates a store a half a mile down the road). It was a used car "dealership" throughout 2019, and in October 2020, Stauffers of Kissel Hill Fresh Foods (another local grocery store) announced that they planned to open a new store at the space (This will be their 3rd store, or 4th if you count the tiny location on Oregon Pike which closed in 2019). Stauffers is planned to open in May 2021. What Stauffers plans the new store will look like (Stauffers blog) Another photo from the Stauffers blog The road sign, Stauffers' sign is already up! Darrenkamp's (Google Maps imagery) Quick Information: Opened: 1998 / 2021 Address:  945 E Main Street Photographed: March 2021
